Our Team
With over 75 years experience between our current 3 primary providers, we knew that we needed to address the whole person, family, community, and system by teaching the costs involved that coincide with the knowledge our patients and families need to take better care of themselves. Our practice provides a well-rounded approach and strives to provide overall health & wellness with an emphasis on proactivity and prevention. We are a family practice clinic that provides complete Pediatric, Men’s & Women’s Integrative Health Care. With over 30 years in the healthcare field, I have had a passion for helping others since becoming a paramedic in 1990. That passion continues today in everything I do. I am a graduate of Regis Universitys Family Nurse practitioner program in 2009 and am board certified as both a Family and Emergency Nurse Practitioner as well as hold national certification as a surgical first assistant. I have experience with caring for a variety of patients in the roles I have worked including Emergency/ Trauma and Critical care, Primary care, surgical, and palliative/hospice care. I am not just a provider but also a patient. Having experienced emergency cardiac bypass surgery at 46 years old, my focus in life has changed drastically. It has opened my eyes to those things that we take for granted. The importance of optimizing health and wellness, to be around for my wife and family, has become the focus of taking care of the patients and families I care for each day. I know you have many choices for your medical care, however if you want compassionate, quality, and complete medical care for you and your family, my wife Tina and I are here to help you become a healthier and happier you. We look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your healthcare goals.
YOU
The Direct Primary Care practice model places greater responsibility on patients to know their medical insurance inside and out. They must also become the liaison between their direct primary care physician or practice and their insurance plans.
US
Direct Primary Care is about focusing our attention, time, and effort on caring for our patients – directly, without oversight from nonmedical administrators, using evidence-based guidelines individualized for the circumstances of each patient.
WHY
Direct Primary Care allows family physicians to care for the whole person while reducing the overhead and negative incentives associated with fee-for-service third-party-payer billing.
OUR BELIEFS
We believe that healthcare can and should be done affordably. As Medical professionals that have practiced in traditional settings, we can see that the majority of illnesses in the United States are either preventable or treatable through more affordable means. Knowing that such an approach would be both empowering and affordable for patients, while also being more sustainable for our economy and our healthcare system.
Belief #1 - Affordable
Markedly decreased overall cost of care, overdiagnosis and overtreatment. This AUTOMATICALLY begins the process of rebalancing the medical ecosystem to improve outcomes, control overutilization and improve the lives of everyone in the ecosystem.
Belief #2 - Comprehensive
Medical treatment and evaluation needs to be directed to the needs of the patients at the discretion of the physician, not to the financial ambition of the insurance companies.
Belief #3 - Accessible
We provide unrestricted access to our care. We limit our patient panels to smaller numbers so our providers are more readily available and not bogged down in a fee-for-service model. We are open 5 days per week giving patients same or next day appointments for any urgent need.
Belief #4 - Personal
Direct Primary Care is about the culture of care and services provided much more than being a business model. Our physicians typically see 8-10 patients a day plus provide a handful of phone consultations. Our patients have a personal provider who knows them as an individual.
MAKING HEALTHCARE AFFORDABLE
Want to Take control of healthcare costs?
The next time you have a tough decision to make as a patient, we encourage you to make it clear to us, your healthcare providers, that no decision will be made until you know what you need to know. Ask the tough questions. Unless the consumers of healthcare bring their common sense, curiosity and clout to healthcare, there is no hope for better care and better outcomes in the future – just more of the same.
